Mr. Leandro Macasaet, a Filipino creative writer based in Milan, presented a book through an interactive art installation “Spazzatura/Sprezzatura- A Cultural Dialogue around Leonardo’s The Last Supper” in the Philippine Consulate General in Milan on 12-16 November 2018.
Mr. Macasaet used to work as a professional teacher in the Philippines but is now working as a private service staff  in Milan. After being enrolled in Centro Culturale Multietnico La Tenda, an Italian language school for foreigners, he became part of the pool of writers in a recently published  “Sulla Stessa Barca” (On the Same Boat), a creative writing encounter of Italians and foreigners.  He wanted to present the book to other Filipino migrant workers to remind them that their daily “dealings with the spazzatura (garbage) should not deter the function of our innate “sprezzatura” (the art of effortless mastery to do things one’s good at)”.
The Consulate hosted a simple cocktails on 12 November 2018 to launch the art installation. Artists and teachers from the Centro attended the event.
