The Philippine Consulate General in Milan reported that on Saturday, Consul General Bernadette C. Fernandez, graced the ceremonial turnover of food items donated by the Iglesia ni Cristo Milan at the Philippine Consul General Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez at the Associazione Banco Alimentare (Food Bank) della Lombardia in Via Giovanni XXIII, Muggio, Monza Brianza, Italy.
The activity is part of the global initiative Aid to Humanity of INC that coincided with the birthday of Executive Minister V. Eduardo Manalo. It was organized in collaboration with the office of the Vice Mayor of Milan Anna Scavuzzo under the Milan Food Program. Consul General Fernandez was joined in the event by Minister Dylan Ramos, other INC officials, as well as Mr. Marcello Cosentino, Food Bank officer-in-charge.
In her message, Consul General Fernandez said that the food donation is proof of the long-standing cooperation that Filipino community groups like INC have with local communities abroad.
