THE CONSULATE GENERAL

The Consulate General was formally established on 03 April 1995 in response to the growing population of Filipino workers and the significance of Milan as the center of business in Italy.

The Consulate General has jurisdiction over the regions of Lombardia, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Liguria, Piemonte, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli-Venezia Guilia and Valle d' Aosta.

The following served as Consul Generals in Milan: Eufronia M. Recaido (1995 - 1999); Milagros R. Perez (1999 - 2003); Romeo L. Manalo (2003 - 2006); Pedro O. Chan (2006 - 2009); Antonio A. Morales (2009 - 2010); Lourdes S. Tabamo (2011 - 05 April 2014); Marichu Mauro (06 April 2014 -19 March 2018); Irene Susan B. Natividad (20 March 2018 - 07 October 2019); Bernadette Therese C. Fernandez (17 Janury 2020 - 15 October 2022); Elmer G. Cato (24 December 2022 to Present)

Aside from officers and staff from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate General also includes offices of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS) and Home Mutual Development Fund (HMDF/Pag-ibig).
